Soccer season has already begun and you won’t believe how incredible these male athletes truly are!

Both boys Varsity and Junior Varsity teams opened up their seasons with a huge blowout against Centennial! So far Varsity has gone 11-4-1 (due to tournament games ), JV has gone undefeated with a 6-0 record and JVB has gone 3-3!

On January 23rd, your Casteel Colts played amazing against Willow Canyon! JV won their game 9-1 with goals scored by Tyler Deem (#1) , Michael Callahan(#21), Zach Szabo (#20), Cade Sadowski (#16), Evan Zoetman (#11), and Randy Duke (#5). Then Varsity fought hard and won their game 3-0 with goals scored by Marco Martinez (#7), and Kaden Cameron (#11).

Now winning may be what most players covet in any sport. And although it may be one of the best parts, it isn’t the only thing these players think about. After asking a few players what they look forward to, why they play the game, and what their favorite part is, here were their responses:

Cade Sadowski (JV #16) said, “I look forward to getting to play the game I love, and just competing to the best of my ability and winning,”.

Eduardo Bonilla (JV #7) commented, “I play because it’s part of my country, and I was born playing it and I still play it,”.

Charlie Bentley (JV #8) responded, “My favorite part of playing the game is the the joy it brings me and helping my team win,”.
